I was born and raised in Eagle Pass, a small town on the southwest Texas border, and I speak Spanish.  After graduating high school in 1992, I attended Texas A and M University in College Station.  Then, in 1998, I had an opportunity to relocate to Austin and I moved here as fast as I could!  After relocating on New Year’s Eve of 1998, I managed a popular local restaurant for the next 10 years.  There, I met the love of my life, Danielle, who attended the University of Texas in Austin.  We married on Halloween 2002, and two years later, we bought our first home.  I can now say I am an “Austinite”.

When I am not helping people with their real estate needs, my wife and I contribute much of our time to volunteer fund-raising for the Austin chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.  Being a Type 1 diabetic myself, I definitely have a vested interest in finding a cure.  I was lucky in that I was not diagnosed with Type 1 juvenile diabetes until I was 24 years old.  I meet so many type 1 diabetics that have had it since grade school or even birth.  I just can’t imagine what it must have been like to have to go through adolescents with this disease!

I found out that the slogan came about as a way to promote small business in Austin by the Independent Business Alliance and inspired by comments made by Red Wassenich in 2000 while giving a pledge to an Austin radio station.
Austin and its surrounding communities have so much to offer.  I am drawn to the Austinites with their warm welcoming charm and hippest.

Austin is one of the best housing markets in the US.  The Tech industry is a big pull to Austin with a great job market, as well. Austin with lots of sunshine offers a lot to do outside such as; boating or kayaking on the lakes, bike paths, hiking trails, fishing, hunting just to mention some of the outdoor activities along with Austin being the music capital along with a vibrant music and art scene.

When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. There is so much to explore and do in Austin. Paloma Fernandez moved to Austin Texas in 2004. she earned a Chemical Laboratory bachelor’s degree in Mexico. Her passion is fitness dance; therefore, she is a certified instructor with 6 years of experience in this industry.

I was born and raised in San Antonio and proudly graduated from Texas A&M University in 2007 with a Bachelors of Science in Recreation, Parks and Tourism Sciences.  I relocated to Austin for a job opportunity and to this day, I couldn’t be happier with my decision.  I never imagined how much I would fall in love with this city but now I understand why so many people are moving here every day.  The growth and momentum in Austin has fueled my passion for real estate and my desire to help others find their own place to call home here. 
 
In my spare time, I can be found playing recreational sports through Austin Sports and Social Club, cooking a new recipe at home with my girlfriend, or simply enjoying some play time with our new Cavapoo puppy.  Additionally, as a whiskey enthusiast I travel throughout the state of Texas visiting whiskey distilleries to learn more about this wonderful craft.   This has been a passion of mine and it is so exciting to see how it’s expanding in our state.

Growing up in the South has taught me so many things. The most important quality I would say is the southern hospitality. From Atlanta to Nashville, I’d say my favorite place is Austin, TX. The people here have made me love this city. I have lived here for 6 years and am looking forward to my future here in this city. I come from an oilfield and military family. I worked for inside sales of an oil company for 4 years. Learned to be available and prompt on everything I did. I have also worked in the service industry for 5 years making sure my customers are well taken care of and treated with the upmost respect. I also liked volunteering at my local church back home for a youth group.

In my spare time, I like to do anything outdoors. Kayaking, floating the river, fishing, boating, or hunting. I love my Texas Longhorns! Hook Em Horns! I love to work hard but still have time for family.

Sharon is a native Texan, born in Waco, graduated from UTA with honors. She enjoyed over 20 years in Radio and TV sales and management, working for major companies; Univision and Clear Channel in Austin, Houston and Los Angeles. She managed KPEZ “The Classic Rock Station” and major advertisers; Miller & Corona Beers, Taco Cabana, the Houston Rockets, KVUE TV (to name a few) and promoted major promotional events, concerts and shows.

After getting my Real Estate license, I quickly set out to acquire more education and understanding of this exciting industry of Real Estate!  It took an additional 90 hours to acquire  the GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute) designation. I then went on to earn the ABR® (Accredited Buyers Representative) designation and also, the RENE (Real Estate Negotiation Expert) designation.  All of this training has aided me with the skill sets for being able to handle situations that arise in the Real Estate transaction. I have worked with first time & experienced buyers and sellers with starter homes to luxury homes.

Besides my Real Estate career, I love traveling with my family across America as well as internationally like Australia for the Australian Open, Belize, Cabo, Hawaii, etc… I also enjoy: going to museums, hiking and going to eateries/cafes/coffee houses. A little-known fact about me is my love of essential oils which are used to clean your home,  for supplements and also for diffusing to create a healthy, happy environment.
