Austin has always been a dog-friendly city, especially when it comes to going out to eat and being able to take them along. In fact, Austin was recently named the fourth most pet-friendly city in the country, as well as the top city in terms of pet-friendly restaurants per capita.

Here are three of the best dog-friendly restaurants located in Austin:

Austin Terrier

This bistro is one that not only loves dogs, but they also offer both large water bowls and a treat jar just for them.

Cane Rosso

The name of this pizzeria translates to “red dog” in Italian. The chain itself is headquartered in Dallas; however, they have a location in Austin, which is also the site of some regular pet adoption events.

Fresa’s South 1st

This is a Mexican restaurant that was formerly the home of Freddie’s Place. Since taking over the property, they have taken the time to maintain the patio, which is also dog-friendly as well.

Yard Bar

This combination dog park and restaurant has food and drink for you and your pup. There are memberships available or you can pay a daily entry fee.
