Are you in Austin and looking for something to do with your kids this weekend? Would they happen to be soccer fans? It’s no secret that Austin is bouncing with soccer fever these days. So, instead of tuning into the FIFA Women’s World Cup, turn off your TV and consider checking out Austin’s very own soccer team for some live, in your face action this weekend with your kids.
How, you ask? Head to Kelly Reeves Athletic Complex in North Austin to watch the Sacramento Republic FC go head to head against the Austin Aztex this Saturday.
Who are the Austin Aztex? They are a men’s soccer team who has the ability to turn semi-pro level soccer playing into a fun, family friendly experience for all spectators. Interested in giving it a go? Gates open at 5:30 pm on Saturday and kick-off happens at 7:30 pm.
If you are already an avid soccer fan then, you should know that the Austin Aztex will be playing games until September of this year. So, if you would like, you can buy tickets for a single game or save some money when you purchase a 3 or 5 game pack.
As an added bonus, the Austin Aztex are extending their hands and helping their fans get to and from their games. How is this possible? They are offering free rides on Capital Metro’s Metro Rail service to all ticket holders for the remainder of the 2015 regular home season. The shuttle will be leaving from the Lakeline MetroRail Station before and after the game. To qualify for this free shuttle, you will have to show the free pass as well as your game tickets for that day. See you there!
